Matt has worked in the investment industry for over two decades, serving both individuals and institutions as an independent advisor. He joined The Watchman Group after spending 17 years with True North Advisors, where he managed and built out the firm’s investment platform, served on the management team, and worked directly with individuals and institutions on their investment and planning needs. Prior to True North, Matt worked as an investment analyst for Lockwood Financial, building investment plans and conducting manager due diligence.

In 2015, Matt participated in the Schwab Executive Leadership Program, an elite training program for the next generation of leaders in the RIA industry. He earned a BBA in finance from Southern Methodist University, where he was a member of the men’s basketball team. Matt lives with his wife and daughters in Lucas, TX.
